Violin Recital

Sabtu, 16 Agustus 2008. Another weekend di Jakarta. Banyak sekali kegiatan di seluruh Jakarta terutama menjelang peringatan HUT RI keesokan harinya. Sore itu bada Ashar, aku dan teman mengunjungi “Festival Kejomoo” di Plaza Selatan Gelora Bung Karno. Wah, baru dateng aja udah mupeng dengan semua makanan yang ada (Lho, ini kok judulnya “Violin Recital” tp malah cerita tentang Keju hehehe…). Akhirnya kami berdua membeli pancake…hmmm…yummy. Setelah muter-muter di area Plaza Selatan, kami menuju fx, penasaran aja pengen liat mall baru sekalian mau numpang shalat maghrib di mushala-nya. Tak lama kemudian datang temanku yang lain. Kami bertiga berencana menonton Violin Recital di Erasmus Huis. Sebenernya acaranya dimulai pukul 19.30, namun sesuai dengan anjuran pada saat reserved ticket via telepon, kami sebaiknya datang sebelum pukul 19.00, so 15 menit sebelum pukul 19.00 kami sudah tiba di Erasmus Huis.

Acara Violin Recitalnya terlambat sekitar 15 menit. Acara ini diselenggarakan oleh Dewan Kesenian Jakarta. Recital kali ini mempersembahkan dua orang musisi yaitu Gabriel Ng (violin) yang baru berusia 13 tahun dan Inge Buniardi (Piano). Ada enam program yang ditampilkan saat recital kemarin, yaitu:

  • Cantabile - N. Paganini
  • La Campenella, Op. 7 - N. Paganini
  • Meditation - P.I. Tchaikovsky
  • Scherzo - P.I. Tchaikovsky

Pada program keempat tersebut senar biola-nya Gabriel sempet putus lho saking semangatnya dia main.

  • Carmen Fantasy, Op. 25 - Pablo de Sarasate
  • Elegiaque Poeme - Eugene Ysaye
  • Sonata for Violin and Piano in A - Cesar Franck

Wuuihhhhhh….top banget deh….dengan usia yang baru 13 tahun permainannya Gabriel Ng hebat banget (menurut diriku yang orang awam). Sampe-sampe pas akhir Recital tepuk tangan penonton panjang banget, jadinya dikasi deh dua program tambahan. Pertama, Gabriel Ng main solo (kereeeeeeeen banget), yang kedua mengulang lagi memainkan program keempat. :clap:

GABRIEL NG (Violin)

Gabriel Ng is 13 years old and presently studying in The Yehudi Menuhin School in the United Kingdom under the tutelage of Mrs Natasha Boyarsky. He has participated in Master classes with Zakhar Bron, Lewis Kaplan and Zvi Zeitlin.

Before leaving Singapore in 2005, he had been learning the violin from Ms Yah Wan Har at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts since the age of four.

In the 2003 Singapore National Piano and Violin competition, he was awarded the first prize in the Junior Violin category. In May 2007, at the XIV Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition in Italy, Gabriel was a first prize winner (intermediate category) and was also awarded the Grand Prize, as overall winner of the competition which attracted almost a hundred competitors from all over the world.

Gabriel was the 2006 HSBC Youth Excellence Award Recipient for Musical Excellence and made his debut concert the following year at the Singapore Esplanade concert hall. Besides Singapore, Gabriel has performed in public concerts in London, Tokyo, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Rome. In December 2007, he gave his first European solo recital in Rome and has been invited back for a second performance later this year.

INGE BUNIARDI (Piano)

Is a young pianist, was born in Jakarta 1986. She started her piano lessons at age of four with Mary K. Kurniawan, Ten Sien Jong, Julina, and Iswargia R. Soedarno. Currently she enrolled as a fourth year student of Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam, studying piano under Prof. Mila Baslawskaja, singing under Elise Galama, and studied composition under Dutch composer Daan Manneke.

From 1994 until 2000, she was registered as a member of Junior Original Concert of Yamaha Indonesia, in which it trained talented young musicians in composition field. When she was twelve years old, she was selected to represent Indonesia in the 100 years of Phillipines’ Independence Day Celebration in Manila, where she performed her own composition.
Inge has shown her talent from an early age. She has won several piano competitions in Indonesia since she was seven.
In 1994, she was selected to join “New Names” Summer Camp Program in Rusia.

In 2003, she gave her concerto debut with National Youth Orchestra Indonesia under the baton of Prof. Raimund See from Germany.
In 2004, she won First prize Piano Competition upon National High School held by Universitas Pelita Harapan. In the same year, she also received scholarship to join Viana do Castelo Music Festival 2004 at Portugal. August 2007, she performed in JcoM Fest.

She recorded four-hands works by Mozart together with Iawargia R. Soedarno.
Inge follows masterclasses from Ronald Farren-Price, Michael Leuschner, Martijn van den Hoek, Vladimir Viardo, Jan Wijn and Mikhail Voskresensky.

Inge gave piano recitals and concert in Indonesia, Germany, and in the Netherlands regularly.
